Outsourcing

Going to Qur'an Studies

Our family received a real blessing recently, in the form of some very patient and giving sisters at a local mosque, AlhamduLILLAH. They have volunteered to teach Qur'an to the older children in the mornings for three hours for free while I give my little ones some extra mommy time.

Don't Let Go

This means that I can focus on the preschooler for once without feeling like I am just giving her some busy work. With her, I'm looking more towards creative play and gentle learning since she's only two but she can certainly learn a surah or two and du'a as well. I'm in the process of developing some sort of plan, InshaALLAH, so we'll see how it goes.

I'm sort of reacquainting myself with the IQRA Preschool Curriculum

Preschool Curriculum

There are also many sisters out there that are doing a phenomenal job of developing ideas for implementing Islam into the lives of the younger kids - just take a look at any of the links on the left side of the blog for an exhaustive list.

As Salaam Alaikum,
I hope all is well. What a blessing it is be able to outsource, I am actually in the process of reasearching this for our family. I do sometimes feel like I am ignoring my youngest to make sure that my 2 other children are getting their day's work in. And often I feel like I still didn't accomplish everything I wanted. Anywho, I purchased the Iqra materials for my children this year, bur I must admit that I haven't really made good use of it. I think I will try in the spring, inshallah. I am also looking at the ad-duha materials as it looks like it may be a little easier to implement. But it is kinda pricey, and I like LOW BUDGET curriculum. I always feel like I need more hand holding when it comes to islamic/quranic studies. I am trying to learn to read arabic now and I hoping that by the spring I will be able to teach my children a little arabic as well. My husband was supposed to be in charge of this area, but due to his work schedule, this has fallen on me. I am planning to use Qaidah Noorani for arabic, I will let you know how that goes.

May blessings of peace and mercy be bestowed on you and your family,
Candace

Asalaamu Alaikum

Masha Allah. May Allah bless these sisters and increase your children in ilm. Make dua for my children too. They have no Quran teacher nor I.

As salaam alaikum,

Masha Allah, that is truly a blessing from Allah. I am making du'a for the same blessing for my family and me.
