If You Crochet (Or Knit)

You can make a cap.

Kufi for the boy

I made this one a while back for my son by using Syeda's pattern.

Kufi for the boy II

The pattern is clear and easy (I'm new and terrible at following crochet patterns).

She's on Ravelry too.

If knitting is your thing be sure to check out Umme Yusuf. She knits ten times faster than I do, mashaALLAH.

Wa 'alaikum as salaam wa RahmatULLAHI wa Barakatuh,

Sister Ayesha, may ALLAH make things easy for you and your family (AMEEN).

I don't know why the email isn't working for you - it opens an Outlook Express link but if you don't have it I think it won't work. Anyway, I added my Email address to the top above the posts. themuslimhomeschooler@gmail.com

Take care,
wa salaam,
Nakia

As salaam alaikum,

Masha Allah, you are very talented. My son learned to knit this past fall and has much more time to spend on it than I do.

Do you use circular needles to knit the cap?

Wa 'alaikum as salaam.

This cap was crocheted but when I knit, I use circular needles for hats. I used to use double points but they are so awkward.

Take care,
wa salaam,
Nakia

Assalamu Alaikum,

I've been knitting for a long time, and have just recently learned to crochet- making a hat has always been on my to-do-list, this one is great for an Eid gift!

Wa 'alaikum as salaam Eva,

by the way, that is a quick pattern too - you can be finished in no time. It's addictive, lol.
