Growing Up

Maryam Smiles

I can remember when my oldest was just a little baby. She was the loudest baby that I have ever heard and she cried a lot! Every time my mother would call, she could hear her crying in the background, lol. As a newborn, she hated baths and would nurse almost non-stop.

hey there

It seems such a long time ago because she is pretty mature for a five year old and I sometimes forget that she's still so young. I love that she is a great help to me and so eager to learn.

Rockin' It

We've been adjusting our schedule around here because my mother-in-law lives on the other side of town now so I am shuffling between homeschool, toddlers and babies.

Playing with Brother's Truck

Still, things aren't as difficult as I thought they would be since my oldest helps her mom a lot. She is becoming such a big girl and to prove it, she's lost her first tooth! How time flies.

Bye Bye Baby Teeth

Oh, that baby pic is so adorable, masha'Allah! Congrats on the first lost tooth. My daughter is anxiously awaiting hers!

What coincidence! My 5 year-old son just lost his first tooth today, LOL.
MashaAllah, it's great that your daughter is a keen learner and good help for you.

I'll bet it just all seemed like a lot because she was your first. Now you're a pro so the others seem easier.

It's great that she's such a big help to you. I know it must be a little emotional to see her go through one of these first rights of passage.

Hang in there!

Thanks for the post. You're right, it's especially tough because she's the first. I think the other thing is that it's a reminder that I'm getting older too, lol.

As salaamu 'alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu Umme Yusuf. MashaALLAH, that is a coincidence. I remember that I was almost seven before my teeth came out. Now, all of these five year olds have no teeth, lol.

take care,
